MRC Addiction Research Cluster
Applied Cognitive Neuroscience: Developing Innovative Cognitive-Motivational and Neuroscientific Interventions for Alcohol Abuse
The purpose of MRC-led Addiction Research Clusters is to bring together researchers from various disciplines and various institutions (a) to conduct research into the biological, psychological, sociocultural, and medical causes of addictive behaviours, and (b) to find better ways to treat addiction disorders.
The remit of the Applied Cognitive Neuroscience Cluster is to conduct proof-of-principle studies and foster preclinical development of new approaches for reducing alcohol misuse and abuse, within the context of cognitive neuroscience.
The subsequent pages describe in greater detail the particular research that we are pursuing and the people involved in our Cluster.
